Long Time, no Blog
I tried to come up with something along the lines of “Long Time, No See” but it didn’t work too well. I’m too tired to think of another title so I’ll leave it as it is.
I’ve been really busy as usual, with an increased amount of track meets and a huge semester project its hard to find time for anything else. I’ll provide a quick overview of each below.
Track has been chugging along as usual, we’ve gotten a bit of unseasonably cold weather around here so some of our meets have gotten cancelled. Yet we are still expected to attend practice and the workouts end up being more of an agony than running the actual meet. It’s hard to believe that the track season is almost over, we’ve got less than 5 meets left.
The semester project for EPOC has been a major time consumer these days and as its an advanced class and the project is 30% of our semester grade I’ve been spending most of my free time on the project. I’ve enjoyed improving my photography, but the whole process of writting papers and annotated bibliographies are time consuming and sucks the fun out of the project. The pictures are located in the here, and I updated the page with a new layout more matching to the layout of this site as I felt the colors before were a little too dark. I’ve got a summative essay of over 12 pages due on monday and an annotated bibliography due not long after so I’ll be quite busy this weekend as well.
On other news, I’m trying out a new photoblogging tool for the new photoblog that I plan to update throughout the summer. I usually don’t feel like working on homework on the first night of a weekend so I made the main page look more like this site. Feel free to comment about the design either here or there.
Speaking of the summer, that is one thing I really can’t wait for. I’ve got some plans for the summer such as completing the 2-cubed site and to start accepting clients again. I might even try and find a job as I want to purchase a Canon Digital Rebel XT, I’ve grown out my camera and the only way to improve my photography is by upgrading my equipment.

Ooh, brutal. I’m a junior and I haven’t had anything quite that bad…since freshman year when I was at another school. Guess it varies with schools. How large is yours?
Guess we’re all busy towards May, the 2nd last month before the summer vacation.
Zoogie : NNHS is a pretty large school, I think about 3500 people.
Edward : When the school year winds down, and the weather gets warm, its hard to concentrate on Homework.
Not being able to think of good titles are the worst part of creating a new post. Oh my, I’m doing a very similar project as you. With annotated bibliographies, notecards, essays (or a powerpoint presention, which is what I’m doing). As for the photoblog, I personally would have used Flickr and have it post to blog, but the whole flash based photos drives me away sometimes (still gotta love it though, though there is modified version).

Yep. We are in division 8A for football, its the division for the largest schools.
Anyways, I use a pretty crappy Sony DSC-P52, it is what is known as a point and shoot camera, no manual settings for me right now.
Ahh…I have a nikon coolpix 995 (I think? stupid numbers) which was pretty good a few years ago. It’s rather large…I think it has better zoom than the DSC-P52, but it doesn’t matter, most of my pictures are blurry as heck.
Its an old camera but it is much better feature wise than my camera. Better ISO, better aperature, focal length, etc. The dpreview review did not list a Mega Pixel value, what is it?
I’m saving up for the Canon Digital Rebel XT, which is an amazing camera, very fast and an economical slr.
if I recall correctly, it’s 3.3megapixels…yeah, I plan on getting a better one sometime in the vague, distant, far-off future, as in when I go to college…
That camera was top of the line when you bought it, cause mine’s a lot newer but your’s is better in every way.
