Plans for the Weekend

We’ve got another 3 day weekend and unlike last weekend I plan to rest up a little. This week’s been kinda laid back, mostly in math. The one major assignment this week was a theme paper for Jane Eyre on time and how it is used in chapters 6-13. It was due on Monday, but instead of collecting it Mr. South told us to turn it in on Wednesday but we had to correct any errors in the paper, if we have more than 5 conventions errors our grade drops 10%. :???:

Track practice has been enjoyable, I finally decided to try listening to music while running and its actually making me faster. We had a hill workout on Wednesday where we had to run up a steep hill that was about 100 meters and then jog down, rest up and repeat it for 8 times. Before the workout started, I was already expecting a massive breakdown on my part, but I kept pushing myself where at the end I was only stopping for about 5 to 10 seconds on the bottom.

Some definite plans for this weekend is to try and get in some more running than usual. I’m thinking a seventy-five minute distance run tommorow, a similar hill workout on Saturday, and another seventy-five minute distance run on Sunday. I’m sure the plans will get shifted a bit, but I’ve got to tone down my 800 meter time a bit so that I can be a sure pick for Invites and Conference meets.

I’ve also got a couple long-term assignments I need to get started on, especially the semester project in EPOC. I’m planning on getting started on the research phase of the project and finalizing the presentation for it. I’m still undecided whether I want to keep that dark layout or whether I should go with a lighter layout.

I’ve got a bunch of music to update the playlist page with, but I’ve got to find a way to do that in Itunes. :? : I’m also going to try and finish up the layout for the Wordpress 1.5 Theme Competition.

I sort of feel the same way, maybe because it distracts you from the pain.

Yep, it also helps distract you from thinking your hurting when you are actually not.

Not really, anyone with asthma has to be given twice the credit for going half as far with the breathing handicap.

Nick : Did Racey tell you to run? Racey told me to run easy on Friday, a hill workout on Saturday and then easy again on Sunday.
Keener : Oh. We do tempo’s on that hill, basicly 20 minutes of mid sprint pace.

I remember my freshman and sophmore years in high school we were made to run a mile in under 15 minutes…and me with my asthma would come gasping for air several minutes later…and twice I had to leave school because of the severity of the attacks. But eventually I could get it in the required time if I jogged the first lap (we had to do 4 to get a mile), walked the second, jogged/walked the third, and walked the fourth. I’m so glad I already have my credit in physical education and I never have to take it again . :P

Riz : Yep. Not watching Tenis right now though, Illini Basketball is what I watch.
KR : We are required to have 4 years of Physical Education.

Wow, 4 years? We are required to do only 1 year of it (2 semesters). We get .25 credit for taking it, and we need .50 to graduate and it’s a semester course.
